So why did I decide to become a Therapist and Personal Trainer?
A few years ago I suffered an unfortunate accident during a wrestling session and injured my spine. The pain was non-stop. I could not raise my arms above my head and I experienced chest pain with every breath. Over a number of years I visited numerous doctors who all told me that "I should just get used to the pain".
I thought that I was condemned to live my whole life with this pain. I have always had a passion for martial arts and I refused to let this stop me as I could not imagine a life without training. As luck would have it my persistence paid off - at a martial arts charity event I came across a therapist who has since changed my life. His name is Greg and within five days of treatment he had fixed my back!
I was so impressed by his methods that I decided that this is what I wanted to do, I want to be able to help people in the same way that Greg had helped me. Given my experience in martial arts and coaching it was a natural progression to include personal training as a part of my services to not only help people with joint pains, but to assist them in gaining skills that enable them to maintain their health long term via exercise.
